The Spring 2019 Friends' Book Sale is scheduled for:
Thursday, March 14, 4 - 8 PM *Friends Night* : Open exclusively to members. Not a member? Join at the door: $10 single or $25 family.
Friday, March 15, 10 AM - 4 PM Open to all.
Saturday, March 16, 10 AM - 4 PM Open to all.

Several times a year the Friends hold used book sales, generally scheduled for the Spring, Summer and Fall months.

Thousands of used books are categorized for easy shopping. Inventory includes CDs, LPs, puzzles, games and award winning children's books. .

Friends' book sales are routinely scheduled as three-day events for a Thursday evening, Friday morning/afternoon and Saturday morning/afternoon. The Thursday evening hours are reserved exclusively for members of the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum. Those who would like to join may do so by visiting the membership table available at the entrance to the sale. Friends One Year Membership is available for as little as $10 (Individual) and $25 (Family).

Lobby Book Sale:The Friends are making a selection of specially chosen, gently used books available for sale at the Athenaeum's Main Entrance (Wendell Avenue) during regular library hours. Titles include popular fiction, non fiction, gardening, travel, art. Books are priced to sell, with prices ranging from 25 cents to $2, generally half off regular Book Sale prices. Payment is on the honor system, at the Circulation Desk.

Do you have books or other items to donate? Donations of used books and audio books on all topics in good condition are accepted year round, during regular library hours.
Those with especially large quantities of items to donate and/or requring assistance unloading items are asked to contact the Athenaeum during regular library hours to arrange a convenient drop off time.
Those who require pick up service are asked to contact the Friends at
