The Berkshire Athenaeum provides computers for
Internet searching; online research; word processing; and other
Printouts are available for a fee.
Library computers are available to library card holders in good standing,
who use their library card to make a reservation with the onsite
computer reservation station or by calling the Reference Department
on (413) 499-9480 ext 202 during regular library hours.
Out of state residents who are not eligible for a free library card
can request a reservation at the Reference Desk, where they will be
required to present identification.
The Berkshire Athenaeum offers free, high-speed (broadband) wireless
Internet access to anyone with a PC or MAC notebook or other portable
web-enabled device equipped with a wireless network interface card (NIC).
You can access the Internet from virtually anywhere in the Library itself
or even just outside the building. This free wireless service has been
made possible by the generosity of CornerStone Telephone and CompuWorks.
At this time the library does not offer printing to wireless users.
