Summer Reading Program 2009
Pre-school – Grade 5 **
June 29—August 22
READING CLUB GUIDELINES:
Participants are encouraged to have their own library cards. Summer Reading Program runs for 8 weeks, and Club members must visit the Library at least once during 4 different weeks to complete their weekly visit card. Participants will receive a prize for each weekly visit, including a special final prize on their 4th visit!
Club members also receive raffle tickets for every visit to the Library, as well as for participating in various activities. (see below) Prize drawings will be held once a week. Winners will be notified by phone.
Participants must be present in the Library to receive credit for weekly visits and raffle tickets.
Tuesday, July 21 at 1 PM
**Special programs are suggested for children
ages 5 and up**
Films for school-aged children will be shown
on Mondays at 2 PM,
from June 29 to August 17.
Films for preschoolers will be shown on
Fridays at 10 AM from July 10 to August 21.
Film programs are about 20-30 minutes.
No registration required

The K and 1st Grade Book Clubs
(for children who have just completed K and 1st Grade)
The 2nd and 3rd Grade Book Clubs
(for children who have just completed 2nd and 3rd Grade)
The 4th and 5th Grade Book Clubs
(for children who have just completed 4th and 5th Grade)
For Children and Young Adults (K—12)

Crafts will be held on June 30, July 8, July 14, July 23, July 28, August 4, August 13, and August 19.
All at 1:00 PM
Crafts are 30 – 40 minutes long and intended for children 6 to 12 years old. *
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED—call or stop in to the Children’s Desk.
Registration is free, first-come first-served,
and will begin approximately one week before each craft.
*Children under 10 years old may not be left unattended in the library.
