Library of Things

The library now has everyday—and not so everyday—objects to borrow. Ever wanted to try the banjo? Need a power drill but don't want to buy one? Want to gaze at the stars with special binoculars? Trying to unwind with a classic video game console? The library now lends all of these and more. You'll need a library card, and most of these are borrowed a week at a time. Stop by either the Circulation Desk, the Reference Desk, or the Children's Desk and ask!

3D Printing

Have you seen a 3D printer? The Athenaeum has three for you to try out! Visit the Reference Department to see one in action or to print your project.

Want to learn how to design for 3D printing? Librarians designed a Self-Guided 3-D Printing Curriculum.

Technology Lending Program

The Athenaeum lends several pieces of technology to patrons. Visit the Reference Department with your library card and check out a laptop or tablet to use in the Library for two hours. Or take home a Kindle for one week to read eBooks. The Children’s Library also has a selection of devices for kids to use.
