Are you physically unable to make it to the Library, but still want to borrow books? You can!
The Berkshire Athenaeum supports homebound patrons by providing a delivery service to local nursing homes. Volunteers select and transport materials to the homebound reader, and return them to the Athenaeum.
The reader’s library card is kept at the library for books to be checked out. Books are nonrenewable.
Patrons receiving homebound delivery from the Athenaeum will not be charged fines for overdue materials. The Athenaeum reserves the right to charge fines for items that are consistently overdue or if other library regulations are not followed.
To apply for homebound delivery, a person must:
Have or be able to get a library card
Fill out a Homebound Delivery Reader Application
